Got a quote on a rotor upgrade...

Some of you guys might be interested in this quote I got from Lee's Performance Parts - the same place where I got my springs. I was enquiring about DBA rotors (particularly the X drilled), pads and a camber kit.

make: Ford
type: Falcon
model: EA
month_year: February 1989
cc_no_of_cyl: 3.9 Six
wag_sed_hat: sedan

Slotted Front: $105 each
Slotted & X Drilled Front: $140 each
Bendix Ultimate Front: $79
Camber kits 2 required $60 each
Freight $17.50

What do you guys think?

Re: Got a quote on a rotor upgrade...

Is that a camber/caster kit, or just camber adjustment?

I'm not actually sure what the camber kit is :/. But the rotors and pads seem ok, I'll probably go with it.

I thought x-drilled and slotted rotors cost HEAPS! That's really suprising! Are the rotors the same diameter as standard ones? If you put it into a percentage, how much better would they be over standard rotors?

Re: Got a quote on a rotor upgrade...

Why x drilled? I have heard all sorts of nasties about cracking etc with them, i would have thought slotted would be fine.

I though the early ones had trouble with cracking, but the later ones were okay....
