Has any one tried Nankang tires? - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

Hey,,, just asking if anyone has any feed back on nankang tires because i'm looking for a set of wheels and some wheel places do packages with these tyres and the price is alrite, just wondering if they are a decent typre or something to stay away from. and also are 18inch rims legal to fit on a series 1 au falcon?

Good value for money tyre but man the road noise is terrible!!!!

yes have used them in a 235/40/R18 Format

Only concern is lack of rim protectors , Sorry couldent hear any road noise as the car is to loud

just dont do any burnouts on them.....they chew up really really bad :(

burn outs? haha i only got a auto I6 , it won't do burn outs with tyres on 18inch rims hehe, anyway i ended up getting falkin tyres which are probably similar.

falken tyres are $hithouse, they wear straitta way, thats my experience with the grb's and the Ziex.

I'm on my second set of 225/60/15 Nankang EX601's and have been VERY happy with them. They last very well and I don't have a problem at all with road noise - at least as good as FM901 and HEAPS better than P5000/6000 - and the handling and braking are as good as the FM901's and Pirellis.

I am on my second set.
first didnt do that many k's due to severe shoulder wear @50 psi centre part of the tyre was hardly worn.
Both shoulders were wearing.
At this time it am heading to tyre fault!!!
new set is running @60 psi done only 6000 ks so far

I had severe shoulder wear on my fronts for the first few 1000km after they went on (this was the first set of EX601's) - then I got an alignment done and by just setting the toe angle they came good - wore absolutely evenly from there on. I actually had no idea the alignment was out as the car felt and handled fine - after the toe adjustment the steering is a tad more inclined to centre itself (so I think the toe was too much "toe out" - which is consistent with shoulder wear).
