Wats the biggest size wheels i can put on without changing anything..besides beating out the guards...i know theres like..a suspension bracket ( V shape thing) at the top...does that limit how big??...or wat
any help??

We recently sold some 18x8.5 and 18x10 3 piece wheels for an EL GT and they fitted no problem.

I think the EL gt has a different front spindle than the regular Falcons, was done to get bigger and wider rims on there from the factory.

The spindle / upright assy was changed to fit the bigger brakes, the offset and other dimensions are still the same as a std falc.

A friend of mine had 10in wide rims on his EF, they fit nicely under the rear, but the front guards had to be rolled out even then they still touched on tight turns, but it can be done I guess.

As far as diameter goes the bigger the wheel the more component clearance you'll have.

Myself personally, I wouldn't go bigger than 18 x 8.5's with a 245/40/ZR18 tyre.

i was thinking 19's...be original....get the under the guard look..think its do-able

I thought the clearance problem was actually with the upper ball joint??

Thought Id read it somewhere, But I have nothing to back that up. Might be worth checking tho. Spose if you can maintain the overall diameter to be the same as original wheel then you wont have a problem.
