Hey guys, how hard is it to change the handbrake cable in an EA sedan?, mine has fraid and wont disengage. :(
any hints on how to do it?

Pretty simple with a few simple hand tools. It helps if you are a contorsionist (sp?).
Buy a new one from Ford and take it from there. I found the trickiest part was getting the rubber grommet part seated properly in the sleeve in the floor.
Have a go, not worth paying someone else to do it.
Changed it this morning , $28 from Ford for a new cable.

How many kms on your cables? On both my EA and ED they both went at ~150k kms
