I just got my XR wagon and i love it! But i think its got air shocks and it wallows a fair bit around corners and stuff. So what would be a good thing to look into as far as suspension options go?

Would suggest either Koni Special D shocks or alternatively Boge Turbo Shocks.

Airshocks are usually used to hide major spring sag ( which I had) and you will need to retension the springs.

If you are in Brisbane, City Suspensions at Moss Street are the ones to see for all of this, they do a lot of early ford stuff and have done heaps for the beast.

I had a better look yesterday and i dont think its actually got air shocks, just the little inlet at the back but its not connected to anything...but i think the shocks its got are crappy anyway. Will good shocks stop the wallowing feeling (or at least dim it down a bit) and make it a more solid feeling vehicle on the road...or is that just a characteristic of the car?

I want to make it feel more stable on the road and not to tip so much around corners etc etc...i know its an old car but there must be something i can do.

Get the suspension checked out by a couple of specialist shops. Don't rely on what one tells you, get a second opinion.
Good shocks would be an improvement, but what is the condition of the bushes, steering box, etc... Not much point chucking in new shocks if the rest of the suspension is worn.
