I am going to order King springs super lows and Munroe GT shocks all round and I am wondering how hard they will be to install.

There are going to be installed on a AU Forte Series 1.

Any advise will be appreciated.

All depends on what tools and skills you have.

Changing the springs on an already lowered car is easy.... getting stock springs out is nothing short of dangerous to the point of serious injury if not done right. If you can get a pair of spring compressors then it makes life much easier.

Me and the old boy did mine its easy if you have the right tools and think before you do anything you could get hurt if the spring pops out. I was only 17 when i did this.

Yeah, getting the old springs out isnt that easy. When you use the spring compressors, wrap some electrical/duct tape around the spring where the compressor hooks over. That will stop the compressor from slipping and sending the spring into orbit.

Compressing superlows for installation is easy though because you dont have to compress them far.

Do you have a workshop manual or some sort of guide to work from?

BTW I installed the same combo in my EF (King SL + monroe GTs). Pretty good combo IMO

Would I need a camber kit with 215/60/15 tires? Later gonna get 17" Wheels

What camber kit do you guys recommended? (has to be affordable)

I had a c&c kit installed, which was $135 per side (Pedders 5800 caster & camber adjuster) installed + $40 for a wheel alignment. I had it installed because I didnt like the idea of chewing out a good set of tyres. They guy that did the installation for me said that all Falcons need them with superlows, but there seem to be plenty of guys around who dont.

Where abouts are you? If you happen to be in Adeliade I have got a set of spring compressors around that you can borrow for the job. A workshop manual can be handy if you havent dont this kind of work before.

yeah $120 seems to be a normal price, I got the same prices when I bought the camber kits. The easiest way to tell is too see if the standard adjusters have much thread left on them.

You don't need to use spring compressors to take springs out of the front of an AU, or E-series Falcon. If you do, you're just making the job a lot harder and more dangerous to do.

How else do you take the pressure out of the springs?

Its not like spring compressors are hard to use, they are only a safety issue if they slip, and that can be avoided with a few cm of tape.
