IRS, wheel alignment necessary?

Hey everybody!!

Just wondering if the back wheels ever need an alignment on IRS?

Thanks. Just making sure if what dealers say is true

Ok, well the story is beaurepairs ripped my brother off and tried to do a wheel alignment on his car, (front wheels). and they go, we can't just it anymore, needs camber caster kit (whatever that is). ford dealer reakons Au's don't have that. so now he is getting a wheel alignment done at ford, and they are doing back wheels as well, or at least checking them. Just don't want him paying for something that isn't necessary.

Au irs is the best rear end to alighn,it features both camber and toe adjustments. As far as the front end ,my advice is to fit a K mac.camber caster kit

Thanks for the advice HM.

Do you remember i had posted earlier about my brother's Au2 stalling out when low on fuel, well that has been fixed now. It was some filter in the tank not allowing enough fuel in the system. Thanks for help on that issue as well

AU IRS can be aligned however it is very rare that they get out of whack (alignment), ie "built Ford tough"
