Hi everyone.
I just wanted to run a question by some of you. My au falcon xr6 needs to be lowered something shocking. I've got kings superlows for the rear and kings lows for the front. my question is do I need to get new shock absorbers, with camber/castor kit for the front with just the lows fitted or can I get away with the shocks that are on there now. I know that I'll need some shock absorbers for the rear but am not too sure with the front.

You'll need front struts i believe if you do that. Just fork out the money for front shockers as well, then you wont need to worry about it later down the track.

Those springs should sit your XR very nicely.

King lows wont need new struts at the front but Super lows will.

Lows wont be much lower than the stock XR springs.

You won't need new shocks, front or rear with those springs. All King springs for the AU Falcon sedan are designed to hold trapped with the factory shocks, even the SSL's, which are now known as UL's (Ultra Low's).

BTW, King Low's (part No.KFFL-57) for the front are almost exactly the same height as AUII/III XR6 fronts, so won't be much lower than it already is if your XR6 is a seriesII/III. Fitting SL's at the back will even out the ride height level front to back. I'd just do the rear springs.

Is your car an VCT (IRS)? What part No. do you have for the rear springs?

Nah, it's not a vct(irs). Not too sure on the part number, but it turns out the the springs that I got for the front are also superlows so I'll see how it goes.
