I pulled the front end out of a p5 last year and found it had a set of very heavy duty koni adjustables only prob is you can push them straight in. I have never had adjustable shocks before so are these repairable ? can they be used again?

I assume they are special 'D', orange in colour. They are adjustable by pushing all the way in and then turning - they will lock in place. You can turn them 2.5 full turns in total on the adjustment (rebound only). They are fully rebuildable and far superior to Monroes etc.

Why is that a problem? Are they hard to pull back out? Not all shocks are hard to push in. Most are the opposite, easy in, and hard out. (Unless they are gas)

Do you mean push them straight in with little or no resistance, or is there some resistance in the stroke?

yes they can be rebuilt for around $160 each considering they cost $250+ get em rebiult

There is some resistance to push in , i have brand new muroes on the front at the moment, becouse i thought that when you could push the ram straight in they were stuffed. Im glad that i didnt toss them out! I couldent get over how large the "ahem" ram was on the koni. How much do they retail for new? the body i stripped had koni adjustable rear to ,but the bloke who took the diff out cut the pins off.

The monroes are probably gas shocks and will try and push back out. The Koni D's are not gas and should be easier to push in slowly, but be more difficult to push in fast.

Brand new you would expect to pay around $250 - $300 a corner.
