Gathering some info here, recently bought myself an EBII Tickford Fairmont. So it has the (Lowered) Tickford springs. The shocks need replacing and I wouldn't mind it a bit lower. So I was thinking of doing that at the same time. What is available that is lower and by how much and what is involved. The car has 17"s and there is about two fingers between the tyre and the guard at the front and a bit more at the back.
I would like there to be no gap at all. But the car has the full bodykit and it is my daily driver. It still has to go over bumps ect.
All info welcome and some close up pics would be great.
King do springs for the EBs that will drop it about 25mm from were it is now, as for shocks, I would stick with the Tickford setup, or if your on a budget, and want to keep a good ride go for Monro gas touring. Hope this helps.....

Thanks SButler: What model springs are they than ie. Super low, Ultra low? Would I need an camber/caster kit? I was going to use Bogh shocks the type as for EB XR8 with lowered suspension. Would they work?
Um I would say you'll need super low's,, low's will give the same hight as the Tickford one's any lower than SLs and you'll need shorter shocks. Have a look on the King springs web sit, that'll give you all you need to know. You will most likley need a camber/caster kit, But I think if youv'e got the Tickford kit in there, there've got the Ford kit in there anyway..allthough I didnt in my EF XR8, when I fitted the spring It gave it some neative camber and thats what I wanted, It didn't wear the tyre's at all. The shocks you are talking about should be fine....Hope this helps.....
