hey guys,

i lowered the fairmont on the weekend and, wow what a difference.

i used kings low springs which are meant to be 30-40 mm lower than standard but the rear has already dropped about 40-45mm! which i am happy about.

i also put in a castor/camber kit and by fluke it put enough shims in each side to have about -1deg30min each side which i am happy with cause it handles like gold.

the only thing im not sure about is how long the spings take to settle, can anyone tell me?

generally its the 1st week that makes the main difference.
expect maybe a 5-10mm drop, can be less sometimes.

Good stuff mate. I lowered mine a couple of weeks ago and it made a huge fvcken difference...


I'm 6'3" and i used to be able to walk under the car, it was that high... now i cant fit a bee's dick under there :p

yea, i need to sort out the rear of mine too.
i've decided its too high, as soon as the new rear bumper goes on i'll see if i can drop it more

well.... i'm hoping i still have room to lower it.
there is too much of a gap between the rear wheel and the wheel arch, i'd like to get that sorted AND get the rear lowered, i did it with the front, hopefully the rear can do the same :)
