Hi Guys,

I want to lower my EF XR6 and am not sure what I should go for. Does anyone know any good places in Melbourne who are reasonably priced? I don't want to spend too much, all I want is the basics.

Don't live in Victoria but.. King springs are what you want. Good rebound. I've got em' and so has plenty others. I know Mike has them too, his car is on the ground and rides like a supercar with Koni adjustable shocks. My car has superlow springs too but I have 18" wheels.

Thanks for the advice mate. How much did they set you back (installed). Is it just the springs you changed? Is it okay to use the standard shocks?

Suspension City in Nth Melb are pretty good & cheap. King springs super low are probably the way to go. Speak to John the old bloke & they'll tell you whats best for your car. At a guess I would say a set of Kings fitted will set u back $350. Get "Bluey" to install them. If you want super suspension then get everything otherwise if you just want it 2 sit low & your prepared to have a stiff ride just get springs. You'll get use to it!

If I just get the springs done alone, will the suspension be much stiffer than what it currently is? How bad is it? Won't it infact handle better??

Depending on how low you are going, you should also get a camber/castor kit as well to ensure your suspension geometry is not out of whack.

I have a camber/caster kit ratchet adjustable made bit difference. I am still using stock shocks, but they have to go SOON!

Hi,

I just got a set of Low King Springs (not the super low's), and Koni Adjustable shocks fitted on Tuesday.

The springs where $180, and the shocks where $390.

The car is about 2" lower at the front, and about 1.5" lower at the rear.

From what I have been told, you really shouldnt put lowered springs in without shocks to suit.

I was told that 18in Ravens are no longer available by Speedy. How old are yours?
