Lowering AU1 XR's

Anyone else got 18" inch rims on an AU1 and lowered it?? The beast is going in for new rubber on monday and I may as well get the job done, currently considering 1/2" at the front and 1" at the rear but am a little curious about others experiences in terms of scraping, driveways, speedhumps etc.

I lowered my Au1 XR8 the same as you are considering and didnt really have any probs and mine had full bodykit. You still have to be carefull on some driveways etc.My wheel size was factory 17's

I'm assuming that 18' rims will leave it a bit higher than 17' rims if the car is lowered the same amount?

If the place that sold you your wheels/tyres did their job properly, the size of the rim should have little to no effect on the ride hight of the car. the overall rolling radius of the wheel/tyre combination should stay as close to original as possible.
