Smile Major Brake Upgrade

Hi all,

I'm wanting to build a 14 sec 1800 kg car - what should I be using for brakes - yes yes before you say lose weight yada yada yada, I just want to know what kinda of brakes and ballpark price I could expect to pay for 'em too.

Thanks in advance,
Steve

Question Need more info

What sort of car? Street or strip? Disc brakes all round for starters.

I'd go for some DBA cross drilled rotors (front only) & some good quality pads. Expect to pay around $200 each rotor & up to $200 for a set of pads. If you want to go bigger in diameter for the rotors it is a fairly major job. You'd be looking at between $2000-$3000 (front only) depending on want brands you use.
