Hi guys,

I snapped a handbrake cable on the weekend which forced me to chuck the car up on stands and get me workin... I havent really kept an eye on my tyres until now, but basically my old tyres are stuffed. They are Yokohama A539's (215,60,R15) and I have to say they are the crappiest tyres I've ever used. I dont do burnouts or anything silly like that (sometimes spin them in the wet but not to the point of dangerous) and my tyres are ratshit!

I guess my question is, what tyre could i get that wont wear as quickly.. The yokies have a piss poor tread rating so they wore pretty quick... Im after a happy medium with grip and wear...

Any suggestions? They dont have to be the best tyres in the world coz im selling the car soon anyway... I just want new tyres.... BTW Wheels are 15 inch stock EA Ghia wheels

Yokies are just soft, thats the only down side of them.
If you want somthing that will last for ever get a set of Goodyear Egal GA2's

or some 15yr old hard tyres,

we had a set on out land cruiser, laster 100k. 0 grip but being old they lasted ages.
