New shocks for EF on King Lows

Hi all,

I have had my car lowered for 3.5 years now on king lows with monroe GT Gas Shocks. I think my shocks are on the way out (70,000kms now) and I was never really happy with how the front end sat. It always sat slightly higher than the rear, which is not how the its supposed to be. What I would like to know is, is it possible to get front shock's (struts) with a lower seating position for the springs, just to bring the front down approx 5-10mm or so? If so, does anyone have brands and part numbers?

I don't have any part numbers, but I do know that one of the Gabriel VST shocks come with a lower saddle.

The more expensive Koni and Bilstien come with adjustable saddles.

4L I6, naturally aspirated producing 173.5rwkw.
14.410 @ 96.49mph with street radials.
What's that?..... Did I hear you say TQE power?

Pedders SportsRyders are excellent shocks, however they will probably give you the same result. IMO I reckon go lash out for Bilstein, they'll last for yonks!

Re: New shocks for EF on King Lows

pedders have a shock that has a lower saddle but i think its just a rebadged Gabriel VST or wahtever they rebadge now.

The VST is a bit o fa mixed shock some ppl say it's good some think it's crap, my brother in law is using it on his VT series2 and apart from being as harsh as the monroe GT is alot better then the monroe GT he previously had, to tell you the truth i quite like the VST over the Koni

EF Futura, XR6 spec head, lowered, T5 conversion, 2.5" catback, AU XR8 snorkle w/ K&N

There is a war inside my head, if I take a day off I'll die!
