Just had new tyres put on my XR8. Pirelli P-Zero's. The SP9000's only lasted 33,000km of easy driving. Chopped out the insides as usual. Anyway I thought I better get the suspension corrected if I spend big bucks on rubber. Advantage suspension in Moorabbin(S.E.Melb) did the job. The original set up was out to the s**thouse. They installed a camber kit up front and also corrected the rear. I got a printout of before & after to show the changes. The car is a different beast altogether. It will be interesting to see how much life I get from the Pirelli's. Just thought I would share this info incase someone else was looking to take their pride & joy to someone who treats your car as if it was their own. Thanks to Nathan & Luke for doing a great job.

I am having this problem at the moment with my AU II XR8, the Dunlop's are wearing badly on the inside edges, I've done 25,000klm's of very easy driving, most of it is hwy klm's as I only drive this vehicle on weekend's to go place's and relax from the working week, I have rarely ever had the rear's smoking as it doesn't interest me anymore, I did it once when I 1st bought the vehicle and never since, and like I say most of those klm's are hwy, and it look's like I am up for a set of tyre's, there's tread left but not on the inside edge's, which I'm not very happy about.

Had the same problem with my AUIII XR6, so maybe it's a common one. I can feel the car isnt handling as well as it should and I've noticed my Dunlops are wearing as if they are over-inflated, though they aren't.

Anyone know of a good place that sells cheap tyres?

It was a contra deal for some engine work so the answer is $0. But I have since rang a tyrepower dealer and they wanted $425ea.

Nathan at Advantage told me just as the IRS on holdens need camber kits in the rear, fords need them on the front. Although I do know of a few people that are getting even wear with the std setup.

I have the K-mac castor camber kit installed in the front.
