I gotta ask why they compared them? Who cares how a $100K 2door compares to a $70K 4door?

Where's the GT v Clubbie? Where's the GT-P vs R8?

they shouldn't compare GTP with GTS coupe! But until GTHO is out, bring it on. On the other hand it makes GT brand look good, as they head to head with holden's best.

In the figures they say:

HSV GTS Coupe Series II 5.8s (0-100) 13.9s (400m)
HT Monaro GTS 350 8.1s (0-100) 15.6s (400m)
FPV Falcon GTP 6.4s (0-100) 14.3s (400m)
XY Falcon GTHO Phase 3 6.4s (0-100) 14.7s (400m)

But before everyone gets swhocked at the GTP's performance in the article itself they state:

"Confirming last months GT sizzle was no fluke, the GT-P endorses the earlier results by posting almost identicle times, including 0-100km/h in 5.9seconds, and low 14s on the 400m dash"

Given this comment I don't know why they have quoted 6.4s in the specs area. Probably just a mistake.

Always people complaing about comparisons, if its got 4 wheels and you can drive it, what differenece does it make what they compare things to. All the cars they compare in the magazine we all compare in our head anyway, even if its not it "competitor".

VXLS1 - Not really. Normally you compare cars in a price bracket, not just a performance bracket (otherwise most GTS drivers would be driving Porsche 911s).

Accept that one is a 2-door car which I would not really expect to be on the same shopping list as those buying a 4-door GT. Stretching your point further why not compare the GTS to a Ferrari 456 then.

It is interesting that in the same issue they do an investigation into faulty LS1s and used a GTS as an example.....
Also the Odometer in the GT-P had a bit over 2000 km on it. I wonder if it is run in and loose yet???
