I'm about to get the front of my ZD Fairlane lowered a touch and I want to put some new wheels on her. I reckon the have to be chrome, she is running 275/60/15's rear and 215/14's up front. I reckon she needs the fat rear boots for the classic street machine look, but I was thinking of something newer and bigger to fill the guards better. What do you guys think would look good on the old beast. She is the red/orange Vermillion Fire with black vinyl roof.
What about 16 inch chrome EF/EL XR8 mags, maybe 255's and 235's?

Whadda ya reckon?
I used to run 295 /50/14 and 235/60/14
see if you can borrow a larger tyre combo and fit for clearance
Hey man nice choice in cars i gotta zc and ive had hotwire mags on it originally when i bought it, looked cool the bloke had the fattest tyres on it..... but put my 12 slots on, now getting my mates old school type 5 spoke chrome speedy wheels only 15's but think they will look awesome......... but i have seen new rims like 5 slots all chrome (name: rally) and look awesome think they'd look sweet.
Hotwires I reckon only look good on Torana's ha ha
Thanks dude, I replied to another of your threads earlier today too.
I just reckon that when people dump Fairlanes that the wheels just look too small. I believe they need a minimum of 15's with a nice fat profile and white writing to look good, or, bigger rims. These were the ones I was thinking of, something new ish, in chrome or polished would make it handle better and look awes. But thats why I'm on here, trying to get suggestions.
By the way, my 12 slotters have the red XB GT original caps, with the red writing, kinda sets off the car as its red too.
ANother wheel I was thinking of was the simmons wheel, the ones with the colour coded wire looking centre, in red with the soft chrome outer, that would look ok I reckon.
I reckon these Malibu chrome rims by Speedy would look absolutely awesome on the old girl, I would only get them in 16 though as 17 would be ova kill.
What ya reckon?
they are the ones im thinking of basically, the ones im getting off my mate are the older version, but those i reckon will look sweet and 16's probably the way to go if you dump the car.........
I like those halibrand sorta designs. If the centre of the spinny handle thing (assuming it spins off) would look kick arse in anodised Red to match the car. What sizes and how much!
I'll try and get a side view of the car now with the fat and tall boots on the back, wheres yoru car pics?
yet its a zc, mines a dump atm trying to get it fixed up and ill have to get some pics laters for ya with it all cleaned up, its covered in about 2 inchs of dust hehehehe been sitting in the shed for a year
and the rims you liked were advertised for 260 each and the other style 160 and thats basic 15x7 and its an extra 10 or so for each inch wider and 60 approx for height
