news on E-Series AU1 XR wheels

Ok guys,

i know some of you were after these, and i did see some. Bad news - they have been sold, and you would not believe the price - $900 for all 4, brand new wheels. i nearly fell over when the guy told me! He said they'd been sitting there for months and noone had shown any interest in them.............if only we knew!

He also said he is 99.99% certain that AU1 XR's are not, and will not, ever be made in E-Series offset again. There are copies of them, but theyre still in AU offset. Apparently even supplies of AU2 XR copies are drying up (so he said).

But amidst all this bad news, there is some relatively good news. ANZ are nor producing the EF FTR rims (EL XR 16" copies) again, both in 16x7 and 17x7, silver and chrome finishes. And the run is unlimited .

So, some good news, but some bad too. Ah well.

Re: news on E-Series AU1 XR wheels

Luke, that was with rubber - 2nd hand rubber tho.

No idea on the price of the ANZ's, but any place that deals with them will be able to tell you. The guy i spoke to said he doesnt deal with ANZ because they are very hard to get replacement wheels, caps etc. from, even if it is their fault (i.e. through manufacturing fault).

mate you're telling me - i couldnt believe it either. they had been sitting in his store for about a year he reckons, said everyone wanted the AU2's and not the AU1's.

Told him if ever he comes across anymore that i want them.
