Hi ppl.

Looking at lowering my ute in the near future so i thought id email NRMA just to make sure I wasnt going to void my insurance or anything. They told me that I can only lower the ute 1 1/4 inches from stock. That is bugger all considering I wanted to lower it around 2 1/2 inches at the back. Is there anyone else with NRMA that have lowered their car, cause it seems a bit harsh to me...

A lot of insurance companies only let you lower it 1 1/4 inches (which is 30mm).

Best bet is to change to Shannons or Just Car who let you lower it as much as you like providing it's still legal (100mm from ground at lowest point in VIC).

Join the frusted que, not many insurance company's will let you lower your vehicle at all let alone that much, all you can do is shop around.

RACV accepts tickford lowered suspension which is 1 1/2 inches.

They wouldn't accept my standard XR8, I wanted to lower my XR8 and I asked them and they said as long as the centre of the headlight to the ground isn't less than ****cm( can't remember) and it was actually lower than the given fiqure, in stock form, and they were dazald, they thought I had lowered it, no way I said, it's totally stock, oh well they said I couldn't go any lower from that than, BS I thought, but what can ya do.
