Hi all,

I'm looking at doing some work to the front suspention on the XD. The back end is well sorted but the front is basically kings lowered springs (old enough to replace) and pedders short stock shocks. The pedders will be staying because they have only done 2000kms or so.

I'm looking to get more of a 'sporty' ride out of it for a long cruise through some mighty twisty roads in a few months.

The car HAS to be street legal and i'd prefer it if the mods could be adaptable to improve my 1/4 mile times as well, but that really is optional. So far i'm looking at a whiteline nolathane kit, swaybar, shock tower spacers and springs for the front end, but if anyone has any suggestions it would be appreciated.

P.s. I'm not going to buy the RRS front strut (as much as i'd like one)!

Why the shock tower spacer? You already have short bodied shocks.

Doesn't mean I couldn't do with an extra 12mm of shock travel.

After stating I wasn't going to go for an RRS setup I've now seen they have an entry level setup which might be cheap enough to consider... will get a price tomorrow!

What about investigating as to wether the shelby mod of lowering the upper control arms an inch would work in the XD??
It's straight forward in the mustang, I don't see why it can't be done to the falcon??

Whiteline sell both 12mm and 20mm spacers.

OK, just got off the phone with RRS's melbourne distributor (Early Bird Falcon parts) and got the prices for the starter pack and Stage II front strut packages.

Starter: $2800
Stage II: $3500

Its a shame I have just finished upgrading my brakes. It would be too costly to just take off the parts i've just spent $600 upgrading (not to mention the shocks, etc).

But I will have to add everything up prior to buying anything... the RRS packages are so far superior to the factory setup that if I do have the chance to upgrade i'd have to take it!
