I've noticed a couple of pics where the brake 'covers' (sorry, I'm sure to have the wrong word here) are painted and look pretty nice showing through the alloys on the XR's.
I have the Premium Brake kit on my XR and would be interested in getting these painted. The Tickford logo is 'machined' into the metal though, so I'm not sure how you'd go making that stand out after painting. Has anyone gone down this road? Any recommendations for someone to talk to about it in Perth?
Do you reckon my car would look good with red brake covers? (Piccies are in showroom forum), or would I start being called a 'Rice Boy' :s6: (A term I'd never heard of until this forum!)

If you're talking about the dust cover that sits between the rim and the brake disk, I removed mine when I put on the 16's. I don't know if they made a difference but I like to think that a little bit more air flowing around the disks can't hurt.
Anyway you have the Premium brakes - show them off
yeah calapiers are the word ur looking for. Go for it, i reakon red or that bronze/brassy colour look the best. Stay away from blue or yellow, to ricey!

I've painted the calipers on both my XR8's. I used the Folio-Tec Caliper paint both times, and it is a brilliant product. Stays bright & shiney for as long as I've had the car (2 1/2 years for the AU).
