HELP!
My park brake cable is stuck half way on.... Its making the car very sluggish of course and when I drove to work today it smelt burning after of course... I need to know how to release the park break cable.. I can see/feel underneath but I cant get it jacked up to release it.... Can anyone tell me some tips or do I have to take it in!!! Its a 1998 Ford Escort ZX2 Sport

This is kinda common on ZX2 models. The only way to get it released is to actually have the rear brakes dis-assembled and the parking brake pawl will need freed up and lubed. Those levers inside the drum always get rusted up and do that.
