I got a XC Falcon with 9inch. its going into a suspension shop on Tuesday and the bloke said he could set the pinion angle for me if I could tell him what angle I wanted.

Are there any Drag racers out there that could give me a good guess at what kind of pinion angle I need. My car has 351 and toploader, stock rear end ride height.

Are you sticking with the leaf springs or getting a 4 link or ladder bar mod done?

Will it be a strip only car or see a bit of street action?

I would use about 5 or 6 degrees for the leaf and 2 or 3 for the 4 link. Reason being the leaf setup will allow the diff housing to rotate further on launch.

Its staying with the leaf sprung setup. I am getting the half rebound leafs put in (it bends the other way on the front half of the leaf). They are supposed to eliminate diff hop.

The cars a weekend cruiser and would see the strip maybe 2 or 3 times a month, cause thats how often drags are run up here (Darwin, NT).

I was kinda thinking around 4 degrees myself, based on what I remembered from an article I read on it ages ago.
