Guys just a question...

WHat do you think about powdercoating rims. WHat colours, and are there any pics of silver or grey wheels that have been done. Do you guys know of any links to pics.

i wouldn't mind getting my rims done in a darker colour, like a dark grey or something, dunno what would match the colour of me car

by the way my car is red...so i dont want to go dark. I would like to stay silver.....what does this look like.. is it shiny or mat?

hmm well I saw a VX that was a pionner car that was red and had white VX SS rims on it...looked quite good.

Hey EEFalcon, I would think that a bronze/gold colour would look sweet on your dark green EF IMO

I think someone else was talking about getting there ED XR6 rims done the same, I know for my next car Ill be doing somehting like that.

White rims on a red car look awesome. Nissan did it with their skyline GTS in the early 90's.

I've had a set of rims powder coated in the past for an orange escort, and I was happy with the result. Very easy to clean as well! Go for it!!!

i had a set of twelve slots powder coated awhile ago and they came out awesome. you can get matte and gloss done. and it doesn't chip like paint does. i recommend it.

There is some dude on the forums with a blue ahhh can't remember - EBII/ED XR6/Fairmont or something, and has powder-coated white EL GT wheels. Looks absolutely mint.

Personally I don't like dark or champagne wheels.

The old Skyline GTS in red with white wheels look very nice.

Cost comes down to what you are starting with. Do the original rims need to be sand blasted or bead blasted? The sandblasting cost me $80 for the 4 rims. Someone previously tried painting them with a brush... Powder coating cost me about $200 for 4 rims, but that was a while ago and they were doing a big job the same colour at the same time.

I just looked up powder coating in the yellow pages and got some prices.
