Power Steering Pulley rattle

Hey I was wondering if anyone knows if the bearings can be replaced in these things or does the whole unit need to be swapped over?

Almost crapped myself thinking I had yet another falcon with a timing chain rattle....narrowed it down to the power steering pulley, thank god

Re: Power Steering Pulley rattle

The power steering idler pulley commonly goes to shit, I had the centre bearing of it completely come away many years ago. Was onlt just over $20 for a new one. (not sure if EF is similar)

Re: Power Steering Pulley rattle

when mine went i was told it was pretty much the same price to get a new pump as it was to replace the bearing, so i chose to get a new pump.

Check for fluid leaking too.
