Rear suspension problems

I have pedders sportsryder suspension and i got it a year ago, but the last few months the rear suspension has been rattling. Like its a really annoying rattle, and its not just over big bumps, its a constant rattle and i have no idea what it is! its really bugging me. does anyone know what this could be? like is it something i could fix or should i take it in to pedders to get them to check it out?

Re: Rear suspension problems

It could be the nuts at the top of the rod/shaft have come loose.

This happened on my gf car when we had the shocks on it replaced and they used the old nuts instead of the new ones that come with the shocks.

Re: Rear suspension problems

Check your lower shocker bolts. They need to be very tight otherwise the shocker can move side to side and that's your knock. Mine did it when I changed my rear suspension. Tightened the shockers and no more noises.

Re: Rear suspension problems

IT could be the shocks but the way to check it is to put your hand on the shock and have someone bounce on the car lightly you will feel it through the shock if its the prob but im tipping its swaybar bush related CHEERS GREG

Re: Rear suspension problems

I have ha d Pedders on a couple of cars and they have started to rattle as soon as 2-3 weeks. When I quizzed Pedders, he said leave it with me and we will swap them. They lasted a little longer. I would not buy Pedders again, that is my personel opinion. I have also heard that thier shocks are really cheaply made, but thats what I heard.

Re: Rear suspension problems

Pedders shocks are made by Munro to Pedders specifactions... If you were to buy pedders only get the coil overs as they are a better constructed...
