Hey guys, i was thinking of selling my 5 spoke XR6 rims 2003 model.
I went to canterbury tyres and they were gonna give me $950 trade in and sell them for $1200. They are MINT condition, only 6 months wear on tyres, so anyone thinks thats what they are worth, or more?


Secondly,
what would you recommend, i was looking at some 19" APEX AP-203, a mate can get them for $3500 with tread, which is quite cheap, but dont know if i wanna spend that much. He seems to think that the suspension would not need any mod's & that'll fit straight on... does anyone concur? As a different mate said if i put 19's or higher, i would have to spend another 3 K on a new supension, spacers etc. Im looking at either 18' or 19' in a 235 width.

Any one has pics of their XR 6 with nice chrome rims & can recommend a place , or website would be great....

If you get 18s or 19s, go 245 width. i think standard is 245/40/18 or 245/35/19. you could even go up to around 265 on the back (265/35/18 or 265/30/19). If you go 18s or 19s, you will not NEED to do any suspension mods, or spacers, however, you can always do that if you WANT.

As for actual rims - do a search, there are plenty of places that advertise on the net. Rims are such a personal choice, that for every 10 or 20 recommendations you get, you may only like one style.

Thanks for the info...can you recommend any particular websites for rims that are suitable for xr6, and are a reasonable price?

I have a set of 19" rims with 265/30/19 with 98% tread for sale, PM if interested.
They are a sort of five spoke design, and immaculate.

You know the DJR BBS rims, advanti has a rim in their range called "Chile" which are almost identical.. I have been quoted $3500 with decent Hancock tyres or $3700 with Falken tyres. It is the 19" size.. he is also going to give me a $650 trade in on my 17" XR6 factorie rims & tyres.. Does anyone know a place that could better this price, or another rim similar to the DJR BBS rims in a good price range???
