Busted the power steering switch shortly before I lost my license. I replaced it but the fluid is still slowly leaking out (as opposed to pissing out into the wiring loom like before). I put a piece of paper under the car to check where the leak is and I'm pretty sure its coming from the same place. I figure it is leaking from around the fitting or I've screwed something else up while changing it.
Does anyone know the proper way to change this ? Do you have to use loctite or whatever on the thread ? Should I let the fluid drain completely before replacing (I just jammed the new one in straight away because I'm a cheapskate and don't want to waste the fluid hahaha)
Had the O-ring on the switch too.
Should just be able to screw the new one in. It's possible you damaged the O-ring slightly when you were putting it in - if I remember correctly they are in a bitch of a place.
switch doesnt cost to much, getting someone that know how to put it on in that weird spot they put it...lol thats a diff story, on the BA its at the top :)
