I went to the dealership today and answered my own question. The greasable dust boots on the tie-rod ends are a permanent manufactured part of the tie-rod and drag-link ends. That means that even if you have nice and straight, undamaged links/rods, you have to replace them if you want to have new dust boots!! They are not so expensive however, $69 times 3.
