Its about time for my wagon to ditch the shitty ole steel wheels and caps for a set of nice shiney new alloys. Problem is that im scared they will get pinched like my last 2 set were. What can i do to prevent theives rippen em off?? Ive got a mongoose alarm/immobilizer but i reckon they'd still get nickked. What do u guys think??
Brent

go and get a set of lock nuts from any good tyre place and that will slow them down... but if they real want them they WILL get them

soon to have a shift kit and one day in the unforseen future i will drop in the manual gearbox
there is only one solution to your problem....unfortunately it involves hiding in your boot with a length of 2x4 and waiting for the low life bastards...
you could always get all nuts as lock nuts...that would slow them down...it would be funny though if they got the shits trying to take the wheels so took the whole car instead!!!

Hahaha
/me pictures Brent unsuccessfully "hiding" in the back of the wagon... Unless you have ShagCurtains (TM) or IllegalTint (C) that is...
I've seen new alarm add-on things that sense when your car gets jacked up. Apparently, they can detect 1 degree of tilt. I think I saw them at Strathfields, but a few alarm places should have them now.
And get lock nuts, they will stop druggies and 'oppurtunist' thieves from stealing your rims

Lock the car up in a fully secured, allarmed, security guarded, dog patrolled Garage and then and only then will you have a 99% chance of keeping them!
Goddamit just as i get new wheels some1 posts this up, now im gunna be bloody paranoid that thell get nicked! Thanks alot :(
Im gunna buy a second set of lock nuts upgrade my alarm and buy a FX pager now as top priority!!
