She's now lowered!

After doing the rear springs on monday, I went and grabbed a set of spring compressors and did the fronts yesterday.

The lower bolts for the shocks were a pain in the arse. Ended up forcing the spanner on the bolt into the ground, putting a spanner on the nut and jacking the spanner up with a trolley jack.

It only took about 4 hours

Re: She's now lowered!

Certainly an improvement! Have you noticed the handling being affected much?

PS: Could I bother you to get some pictures of your boot? I am mainly after what the carpet side panels look like as the plastic in my boot looks cheap and ghey.

Re: She's now lowered!

i have only a plastic side panel on the left, is there meant to be one on the right? all i've got on the right is some black metal and shit. Carpet would be stacks better, no scratches and the like.

Re: She's now lowered!

It's got XR8 springs in the rear and King Low in the front. Handles HEAPS better.

I'll grab some photos of the boot later, bout to go out and the boot is full of parts and crap right now.

Re: She's now lowered!

are all of you guys bashing out the ball joint when you change the front springs? i just removed the two bolts that hold that bracket to the suspension tower when i did the EA, MUCH easier. hardest part was compressing stock springs with the compressors! the superlows fitted straight in.

looking much better there :) i cant wait to put the superlows in my EF now...
