hey guys
i currently have only the 14 x 6 inch JJ steel hub caps on my EBII GLi and i want some bigger mags but not to big because of two reasons...

1) the cost of the mags, cost of tyres and insurance
2) sleeper look!!! 8-)

so i was thinking of three options:
1) the EB Falcon S / XR6 15 x 7 inch JJ alloy five spoke
2) the EB fairmont 15 x 6.5 inch JJ Turbo blade alloy
3) the EB fairmont ghia 15 x 6.5 inch JJ BBS alloy

what is the 6.5 and the 7 measurements on the wheels?

would these tyres get me a bit more grip than the GLi ones?

also would the only way to get my hands on a set of these second hand?
how much would i be up for these rims?

am i able to get them from ford incase one get damaged when i get them?

my preference atm would be the falcon S rims as they look better imo.

any sugestions and help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

6.5 or 7 inch wide rims.

stock rims are 6" wide.

not sure on price.

U can fit slightly wider tyres on those wheels compared to stockies meaning more grip.

I still have the stock rims on my car... The stock tyre specs are 195/75/R14, but i have 225/65/R14's fitted.

There is a set of Turbo Blades going cheap on eBay, i saw it today... I think they were like $100 and no bids...

You wont notice much difference in the $$$ of 14" and 15" tyres.

no probs...

if you are after the 5 spoke XR rims, there is 2 types. Ones with more polished look, and another lot which have a matt finish. Get the polished ones.

I think UNR8D has XR Wheels for sale still, with heaps of tread too... Send him a PM, i am not too sure what he is after for them. They are in good condition too!!!

OED666 is right, XRs came with a machine finished surface and look much shinier than the silver painted finish which the regular S-Pack came with.

EB S/XR rims don't come up too often. Though they are worth it, I'm really happy with mine.

i would probably consider lowering your car before putting mags on... or, buggar it, lower and put mags on it!!!

I dont mind those mags, but they wouldnt look as good on an unlowered car.. .
