Hi Everyone! I have a set of sp3000a tyres which now have cracks on the side walls. Has anyone had this happen to there Dunlops and done anything about it in regards to warranty. I have done about 37,000 kms. (new member)

had the exact same thing happen to me, got them replaced for free under warrenty, but my tyres were only 5000 odd ks old. Just take it to a tyre place and they should help you out. I think beaurepaires are the dunlop specialists...

Sidewall cracking is a known issue with the first few batches of SP3000s which has been resolved since. However, at 37,000 these tyres would be pretty worn out - I'm guessing 70-80%. Even if they do replace them under warranty (which I highly doubt considering the number of kays you've clocked up) it'd be on a pro-rata basis, which means you'd have to pay for the used tread.

On another thread you said they were good, so the ones that are good are the ones that haven't got cracks.

As I've stated, the issue was resolved a while ago so any SP3000 you buy now (well, that you would have bought for some time now unless it's old stock) will not have that problem.
