If I fit 18's to my turbo ute, wont the speedo be out due to the different tyre circumference, or can it be changed to suit and tyre size?

if it is out with the 18's u can change to suit how u do it i dun know but it can be done

You don't need to change anything. You can put either 235/40R18 or 245/40R18 tyres and it'll still be legal and your speedo won't be out by a lot anyway. With 235/40R18 it'll be out by 0.3% and with 245/40R18 by 1.5%. You'd be wasting your money.

My car's computer was set to 18 inch wheels and I had the standard 17 incg wheels fitted, with this combination my speedo read about 10-11% high (verified with my GPS across the nullabor). When I got to Perth I had Ford reset my computer to 17 inch wheels and now it reads about 3-4% high.
If you are going the other way your speedo is likely to read low, be careful of speeding fines or get Ford to reset the wheel setting.
