Hi All out there in Tickford Land. Firstly i would like to say how much i enjoy reading the " Bullitin Board".
I recenly purchased a XR6 Vct, which i am extremly happy with (other that fuel cost, which i will ask about later on).
I would like to know if any one wcould recomend a set of spring and related eqipment to lower the ride height? I really dont want to chage the ride comfort if possible.
Any clues would be great!
P.S. if any one has pictures of there beasts then i would love to see them. (Please Please) mobile_phones@telstra.com
Muddie, in my ute now i have lovells and they arnt to bad apart from being un even in height .. its becoming quite apparent here in west aus that the quality with them is lagging .. my last ride was a dumped el sdn with whiteline super lows .. they where a good set and they dont cost too much ..brad..
i've got whiteline super lows! they are just great!
Just got one
I suggest you check out www.whiteline.com.au
apparently, king springs are not too bad either. if it's an XR6 VCT then you're laughing, since it's got IRS. you could lower it almost as much as you want.
well, neither... i drive an AU Classic which I'm in the process of doing up.
pedders... hmmm... not bad, but it's run-of-the-mill stuff. there's much better stuff out there, unless you're on a tight budget.
in regards to that caster kit, i don't know about that. i DID need one but you'll see why when i develop and scan the latest pics, and have them posted in the owners section.
Muddie , i dont think youll need a caster kit.. although it does depend on how low you go .. but i still doubt it ... early falcons need them to fix camber problems .. but the later cars dont have the same need.. pedders suspension are monroe rip offs .. all there shocks are just painted monroe items. do yu have a suspension specialist over there other than those selling lovells or pedders ?
Hey Brad, We have K-Mac who seem to make a lot of parts (Spring, sway bars etc) for race cars. these guys actually make the springs on site. I had them in my 200SX. Once they got them right they were great, but initially i had problems, like top out, Coil Binding etc..
If anyone is interested, I can get springs and shocks for cheap. (under $200 for a full set of king springs)
Also - can anyone recommend a good camber kit?? I HAD one in my car - and when I was getting my rims back last week - I discovered the camber kit is missing on one side?!?!
If money no object you cannot go past Bilstiens, but don't go for the race versions they;ll shake ya fillings out.Sport is the way to go.
Pedders? Well they vary parts same but they are a franchis, service varies.Penrith seem O/K.I bought Koni's for front and bedders rear, but if I did it again Bilstiens for sure. They last!! In my "opinion"
