squeling from front brakes..???...

hi guys,
my au i xr6 has a problem when turning a corner the front brakes squel or rub on something drive straight and everything fine.?
Anything i can do to fix this problem would help a lot.

mate not sure about the XR6..but my mums VS makes a bloody load squeling noise..a mechanic said the rotors or brakes needed machining..but the Au seems a bit new for that to happen

not very helpful i know..but hey its something

Check wheel bearings for correct tension and brake pads..

Sounds like they need machining, the rotors may be too smooth.

could be the floating calipers are full of dust and aren't floating properly.. had that on a XB once.. drove me nuts!

u could try some anti squeal (get it at repco) ...u put it on the back of the pads

i reckon you just need new pads. Pads always rest on the rotors so when you go around coners i guess the pads will press against the rotors more. So i believe the pads are worn and you need new ones imo.

squealing brakes

check your wheel bearings they are always loose. they will make your pad wear at the top more than the bottom.
