Hey all, ive got a question bout my brakes. I plan to do a few track days once everything is how i want it (soon). Ive been doing abit of testing with my brakes lately and find they fade after about 10 full stops (limit of traction).

Ive got RDA slotted rotors and EBC pads and Nulon brake fluid (DOT4 or 4.1 dosnt specify).

If i was to swap it for some 5.1 stuff and use EBC Reds or some sort of race compound pads would it be enough to last a few hot laps?

EBC Reds would be good, and the 5.1 , together they will work well.
But even a set of EBC Greens and 4.1 will give you decent stopping.

Dont leave the RED pads on for street as they have to get to certian temp before they start working propally

I've got DBA slotted rotors up front with bendix ultimates, stock rotors at the back with some generic stock pad. using dot4 fluid afaik.

Had a few laps around calder and never had any fade.

I've got pretty much the same requirements. I've gon the RDA rotors 4.1 fluid and Lucas pads (Although I've been recommended red stuff pads for track days also). I'm currently bedding in my system. I also got braided lines as I wanted to reduce fade as much as possible.

I don't think that 5.1 fluid is going to help you, I'd say you'll probably find that the fade is iether a pad overheating or line swelling issue.

Does your system have the origianl brake lines ? They could probably do with replacing anyway.

You probably are asking too much. To only get fade after 10 hard stops is awesome, stock E-series Falcons generally get fade after 3 hard stops.
