Hi there - I'm new to all this stuff as have just purchased my 1st Falcon ('97 EL) - it has steel rims and am looking to upgrade to alloys so have been looking in our local (NZ) online Trading sites. Q? - what is the stud pattern for an EL and what does "offest" mean? (in laymans terms)

Hey mate,your car is 5 x 114.3mm stud,sorry i cant remember the offset numbers but anything pre au will fit or is that Ba (anyone?).I just bought some BA xr8 alloys for $1650N.Z with tyres from Magwarehouse.com.These are the same stud pattern but the wrong offset.To fix this i have fitted bolt on spacers(32mm) front and rear.They cost $95/pair.This means i can now bolt heaps of wheels,Diamante,Skyline,RX7,Camry etc..
