Where should I buy them? I live about 10 mins from Herrods but I dont need them put in as I have a friend who is a mechanic and lives close to me. Also how do I find out how hard springs I need?
Well I am going through this whole ordeal at the moment. I have lowered king springs with the standard shocks on my AU2 XR8. I've done 68,000km and the shocks have keeled over. I have decided to go and get Konis in. I was quoted about $600 for Monroe GT's and about $1,050 for Konis installed. I bit the bullet because the guys said that you can notice $450 difference in the way the car handles. Also, Konis can be rebuilt at a cheaper cost than buying new shocks so when it comes around to buying/upgrading next time the extra initial cost will be upheld. I can always let you know how they feel if you want. My advise is to shop around and also work out your budget. It is a hard choice however, believe me.

I think that's a good decision and the person that told you that is right, it's worth spending the extra $$$ for the Koni's or alike.
