Ive got a strange tapping sound comming from my front right hand wheel when going over bumps or imperfections in the road. Its not bad and its been there for a while but its defintely not normal so i think now is a good time to do something about it.
It seems to be quite abit worse when im cornering hard , reaching my full lock.
Any ideas guys?
Thanks
James

That little old blind guy you ran over is trapped under the guard and is tapping on the fender with his white stick to attract your attention?? OK trying to be serious: does it make the noise if you rock the car or wheel while it's parked?
If the wheel feels loose I would suspect a front wheel beraing. If not upper or lower ball joints or shock mounts. Get mechanic's or MD's stephoscope ($10 at Jaycar) and see if you can pinpoint the source while rocking the wheel. Also put it on ramps and pry the suspension gently with a small crow or pry bay to see if anything is loose.
ok , havent had time to check what you suggested but i want to add that ive been noticing lately that when i start reversing out of the driveway in the morning i hear a clunk from the front end - i pretty sure its from the front right.....its only new this sound , related maby?

Jacked the car up today to see if the wheel moved or felt loose and i noticed when i push the top of the rim/tyre inwards it makes a creeking or squeeking noise.
Wierd , does this mean bearings?
Cheers
James

Top of suspension possibly, take the nut off the top of the suspension, then grease the rubber mount lightly, and put some spray silicon down the middle of the little plastic insert, then put back together, go round the block, then see if it squeaks, from there suspension bushes, and front sawy bar rubbers :0)
