Hi guys sorry for the stupid question, but what exactly is a torsion bar?
Is it the same thing as a stabilizer bar?

Ooops .... car is an EA Falcon.

Torsion bars are in Valiants (and some Prorche, some Toyota's etc) but not EA Falcons. Essentialy steel bars under tension that act as springs. See pic here http://www.4x4abc.com/ML320/ml320_torsions.html

Thanks for that info Aussieblue.
The reason I asked was that I picked up a cheap EA wagon and was told it had the 2 nuts missing off each end of the torsion bar.

I'll be buggered if I could find a torsion bar???

He may have been referring to the radius rod??
