Well what started as a simple rear pad replacement ended with twisted brake lines!
The lesson: Always use the right tools!
Back to my problem, the car is a ZL Fairlane (same as an XF) and the brake-fluid line has been snapped off near where it enters the master cylinder. These are the metal ones that lead from the master cylinder down through the engine bay.
So instead of replacing the whole thing can i just graft on the end bit which is all thats broken or do i need to replace the whole thing?
Is it dificult to replace the whole line, and from what point does it need to be disconnected?
Thanks

If you can get some extra length out of pulling it a bit (??) then you can get a new end put on. It needs a speacial tool, but any brake place will be able to do it. The hard part will be getting your car there without any brakes.
Its a metal line, i dont think you can pull any extra length for it without warping it and causing more damage. I went and got a FR brake line which comes with 2 joins less than a foot apart so im hoping i can retrofit it.
Thanks
