Re: Tyre. whats good

175/70/13-I bought Uniroyals from Bob Jane. Good in the dry but sh*t in the wet. $59ea what do you expect. Lasted 60,000 km but.
Can u go 205/60/13 instead. My Cortina/Escort Centrelines had Brigestone SF340 Eagers and they looked tough and handled good. Wet was abit dicey too.

Stephen

Re: Tyre. whats good

I run 215/65r14 Goodyear Eagle GA Plus on my EA - very good tires grip like anything; give them a try (plus in r13 u should be able to get pretty cheap from kmart tyre and auto center)

Rosewood EAII Fairmont 02/90. MPFI 3.9L (formerly CFI), 4spd BTR Auto. Skyline geared 3.45g open center 28 spline 4 pinion differential & axles. 2 1/2" Cat Back Exhaust. King Super Low Springs. Sound: Equalization and amplification by Clarion; Head unit by Sony, Front, Rears and Sub by Pioneer. Planned mods - t5, Extractors, Painting Grey Strips and new front and rear bar.

Re: Tyre. whats good

btw the ga plus' are pretty good in the wet, unless u deliberately push them too hard...

probably around $95-100 each from K T&A for r13's.

Re: Tyre. whats good

Are we specifically discussing 13" tyres for your Escort or any tyre size ???
I thought we wanted tyre brand and tread patterns for 175/70/13 ???

Anyway c if u can fit 185/65/13 or 205/60/13. More grip but watch the guard lip !!!

Stephen
