Urgent Help Brakes - None Hellp!!!!!

ok ok, i know this should b in the brakes forum, but i need as many replies tonight, coz i need the car tomorrow

i went to drive my car before, and i had no brakes,

82 ghia, 4wheel discs,
i pressed the brake pedal, moved quickly to 1/3 pedal, then was hard, and no "assistance" was really hard, and yeh, hardly stopped thecar, so i done the usual pumped the brake, but still, gets to that 1/3 pedal then goes hard, and yeh so i drove it to the shop and back like that, i gained some revs and speed, and i got a bit of a assisted press, then NOTHING again...

i need help, coz i gotat take my brothers to school inthe morning, and do some stuff..... PLEAES HELP and leave it here, coz it wont get much publicity in brakes forum

thanks everyonet that replies

Sam

Re: Urgent Help Brakes - None Hellp!!!!!

could be a bad seal in master cylinder, u may need to replace seals in master or have it kitted. or a bad air lock in lines

Re: Urgent Help Brakes - None Hellp!!!!!

i think your brakes maybe worn out or even glazed. if your down on fluid and there is no leaks youll noticed your pads have worn too.

Re: Urgent Help Brakes - None Hellp!!!!!

Sounds like it may also be a booster or vacuum problem.
Plus double check all lines to make sure you don't have a leak.
Above all, DON'T DRIVE until it's fixed!!

Ed :)

Re: Urgent Help Brakes - None Hellp!!!!!

Sounds to me like your out of fluid and need to bleed your lines.

Pay careful attention to to bleeder valves on the rear calipers.... X series rear calipers are well known for chewing out the thread and leaking around the valve.
