using xr mount for ute leafs

hi people,
on the rear leafs of my xh ute there is what seems to be a mounting point for the leafs higher in the chassis,
i have been told that this mounting point is used in tickford utes? is this true? and if it is, does anyone know you to safely change to the higher mounting point?

Thanks in advanced
Dayne

Re: using xr mount for ute leafs

Yes it is, were talking about the mount at the front of the spring right?
Change over if you'd rather a sportier ride, it gives better geometry for handling but you sacrifice a bit of ride height if you carry max loads.

Re: using xr mount for ute leafs

Yes it's the front mount. i've already dropped the rear 2inches but want it a bit lower to match the front superlows. Is it just a matter of unbolting and jacking the spring up at the mount and bolting it back in does anybody know?
