I have 15' good old 12 slots on my XC at the mo and they are looking worse for wear with 235/60 on the front and 245/60 on the back. I am thinking of going to a larger wheel and a lower profile of tyre however!.....
I am not sure as to what looks good on an older car. I heard (and this may sound crazy) but I was told that later model felcon rims suit older falcons quite well. Also I am having a bit of tyre roll going around round abouts, I am thinking nothing lower than 50. Is this safe because no tyre roll is not good either?
If anyone has links to sites that have pics of wheels that are worth looking at please attach them. Cheers

First of all Jack, are you sure your 12 slotters are not 14"? 15" Globe Bathursts are a good option, or for 16" wheels (225/50/16 tyres) I think an XC would look good on the EF/L XR 16-inchers, but most "normal" looking 5-spoke rims wouldn't be too bad.

As for tyre roll, the taller the side wall the more tread-to-wheel movement you will get, but with a more comfortable ride. And vice versa. I’d agree with 50-series being a good compromise, also from a looks point of view I think older cars look better with a bit of rubber on them rather than licorice-strap tyres.

225/50/16 tyres on a 16x7 wheel is the standard 16” size on a Falcon which means the wheels and tyres are easily available and wide range of choice (I’ve got 245/50/16 on my ute as it needs taller tyres, and I can tell you they are a lot harder to get).

First of all, I know for a fact that you can get 15' 12 slotters for the falcons. Second, I used to have a set of 15x7 AP7 performance alloys on my XC (check out page 2 on my site below) with 245/60/15 and 205/65/15 on the front. They actually didnt look too bad as it gave it that retro look. I recommend it for older cars. Retro is awesome IMO.
