whatcha reckon ?

CURRENTLY USING BRIDESTONE POTENZA GIII ---205/55 R15----SITING UNDERNEATH ME '92 TX5 2.5L V6.

HAVE TRIED THE FALKEN Z326's ---THAT WAS MONEY DOWN THE DRAIN, BUT WONT GO OVER THAT AGAIN.

WAS LOOKING FOR A TYRE THAT HAD A BIT LESS NOISE THAN THE BRIDGESTONES , EVENTHOUGH I HAVE FOUND THEM QUITE GOOD ON MY CAR BEARING IN MIND THEY ONLY COST ME $ 152 A SKIN.

WAS PUT ONTO THE YOKOHAMA ES100 BUT HAVE NEVER LIKED THE YOKIES I HAVE OWNED OVER THE YEARS ON MANY TYPES OF RIDES.

BUT THE LATEST IN MY QUEST HAVE TURNED UP THE DUNLOP DIREZA DZ101 ( THINK THAT IS RIGHT ) BUT COST BEING $ 210 A SKIN WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF ANYONE OUT THERE HAS HAD OR HAS ANY FEEDBACK ON THESE.....

HEY AND THEY GO UNDER A 140KW FRONT WHEEL DRIVE V6....BABY ...NOT A 300HP REAR DRIVE V8......

Re: whatcha reckon ?

There's not much feedback on them, but they're supposed to be good.

Something else to look into would be the Dunlop SP3000. You should be able to pick them up for $170-180 and I can vouch for these things. They're very quiet and there's ppl who run low 13s high 12s in XR6 Turbos with stock 235/45R17 SP3000s.

Re: whatcha reckon ?

i was on RE710 potenzas and moved to the GIII, what a dissapointment on all fronts.

The best skins i had were the A509 yoko's but I can't get them in my size now. They were very quiet and in both wet and dry they had superb perdictable grip.

Re: whatcha reckon ?

Nothing wrong with local product.

Let me put it this way:

Dunlop SP3000 - Australian made
Falkens - Japanese made

didnt know the SP3000e were the first locally produced 17" W rated tyre.....yeh they do seem to get mostly good press......although some would always complain.

Re: whatcha reckon ?

Initially there were some problems with sidewalls cracking but that's been rectified. Love selling these because the customers are always happy, ie. they don't come back to complain. hehe

Thumbs up Re: whatcha reckon ?

ahh yer sir re..........the DUNLOP DIREZZA DZ101's 205 55 15 workin just fine they gots some excellent traction wet or dry...throw it into a corner and give it the boot she pulls out great.........
sure can feel them contacting the road .........not spinning up the wheels on launch anywhere near like she used too..................

was expecting a more pronounced improvment of road noise over the BRIDGESTONE POTENZA G III...for a silica compound tyre anyway.

but overalll they are great............... I highly recommend them for a front wheel drive 140kw v6 .......just see what the life of em are ............then well see if the represent good dollar v performance

cheers
