wheel alignment

i got a wheel alignment done yesterday at a suspension place i use.The mechanic that did it said that the au1 and 2 have a different setup .Now mine was set to a au1 ,so hes changed it,cause i got a 2.He said the au1 toe out and the 2 toes in or the other way round.I was under the impression they were the same.
